Hola, I'm Nicole Wiesner
I’m a systems-minded Product Design Lead
I work on complex, data-heavy products in high-stakes environments, with end-to-end ownership from early definition through delivery and iteration. I partner closely with Product, Engineering, and leadership to turn ambiguity into clear, scalable systems that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
How I work
I’m most effective in environments where ownership is shared and decisions are made collaboratively. I care deeply about clarity — not just in the product, but in communication, expectations, and process.
I work best with low-ego teams who value honest feedback, trust across disciplines, and letting the work speak louder than individual credit. I’m comfortable navigating tradeoffs and making decisions when things aren’t fully defined.
I stay close through execution, not just strategy. To me, design isn’t a handoff, it is an ongoing partnership that evolves with the product.
Why teams work with me
I’m effective in roles where design leadership requires both judgment and follow-through. I’m comfortable owning problems that are still taking shape, navigating tradeoffs, and helping teams move forward without perfect information.
I bring a systems mindset without losing sight of people — focusing on clarity, collaboration, and decisions that hold up over time. I work best in environments that value shared ownership, low-ego collaboration, and outcomes over individual credit.
If you’re looking for someone who can lead thoughtfully, stay close through execution, and help teams make progress without unnecessary friction, that’s where I tend to add the most value.
My background
My background spans Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, and Product Design, which shapes how I approach problems today. I tend to think in systems, constraints, and tradeoffs — and I’m comfortable working across both digital and physical contexts.
This mix of disciplines has made me pragmatic in my decision-making and intentional about craft. I value solutions that are thoughtful, durable, and grounded in how people actually use and build products.
Outside of work
Outside of work, I’m drawn to creative practices that slow me down and sharpen my attention — abstract illustration, restorative yoga, and projects that explore form and color without a specific outcome in mind. These practices influence how I think about balance, restraint, and intention in my design work.
